We are hoping to find like-minded individuals to form some sort of farming cooperative.
Here at Square Root Farm in Denmark SC we have over 20 acres of farm field with a border of wooded area around it, a newly constructed house whose first floor is designed to be a shared workspace, and some unused land zoned as residential as well. Plus, we have some farm equipment which we only need occasionally. Among the things we appreciate about this particular location which are not true of more rural properties are that it is connected to the water supply and sewer system of the City of Denmark, has regular trash pickup, gets broadband cable internet, and is near a Piggly Wiggly Supermarket.
If you would be interested in farming on this land, we could reach a mutually beneficial agreement to divide up the property, to share equipment, and to support each other in our respective "farming adventures". The details would have to be worked out to ensure it is fair to everyone involved, but we really think that would be possible.
